I don't keep my tire under the bed, but my friend does. Neither of us has any idea which tool to use to un-wind the cable. Can anyone take a quick snap shot of what it looks like to see if we have it? Thanks.

I just use the crank handle from the factory jack.

your jack assembly should be 3 pieces: the jack; a thick, folding lug nut wrench; and a long, skinny folding jack crank handle. the crank handle, as noted, is what you insert in to the tube to crank down the spare.

Instead of digging out the jack handle every time I just ground down the socket end of an old rusty 3/8" drive speed handle I had laying around (not the one pictured :D ) to something approximating a blunt flat head screw driver and use it to lower and retract the spare. Works great.

I'm sure it's chrome like the one pictured! :laughin:
