1991 Gas Tank Skid Plate

So, a couple of months ago I noticed the gas tank skid plate on my 91 Comanche Pioneer sort bed was just hanging down and dragging on the ground. I took it off and that part is fine. But apparently there is an end cap that I am completely missing. I tried to find a source to purchase one with no luck. I can't even find a picture of one. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Is the one you pulled plastic or metal? The metal ones don't have end caps and are all one piece. There are some pics of the metal one in the thread below.

The one I have is a flat plastic piece.

I have a couple plastic pieces.  My short bed only came with the two.  I'm replacing them with custom ones I'm going to make.

The one I have is a flat plastic piece.  This is the only documentation I have found on it. I'm missing part #9.
