Porquer Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I’m looking for a power steering pressure switch, and it seems that they are no longer sold new. Has anyone used a newer style one, and spliced in a new connector? Or is there a source for these that I’m not finding?
ghetdjc320 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 What is the switch for? Does it turn on a light or operate another function?

ghetdjc320 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I’ve never seen one before, but if you still have the wiring harness for it, check and see if one side goes to ground. It’s likely just a simple normally closed or normally open pressure switch that you could harvest off of another vehicle. Does the engine try to stall without it?
Porquer Posted July 11 Author Posted July 11 @ghetdjc320 I’m gathering parts to convert my 87 2.5 from manual steering to power steering. The wiring is already there, so it’s just a matter of finding the parts. I’m having trouble finding the switch in a wiring diagram, but I found it in a schematic, and it connects to C227. I assume it is a simple on/off pressure switch to ground. I may be able to get one from a different vehicle if the threads and closing pressure are the same. I’m in a bit of a junkyard desert.
