Has anyone gotten the Full Time/Part Time dash indicator lights to work after a 4WD swap? I went from 2WD with a BA10/5 to 4WD with an AX15 and NP242 case and I'd love to be able to wire up the dash lights. Pretty sure I sourced the 4 wire connector for the 242 case, but need a wiring diagram to help me get it all wired up. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Did you put in a CAD front axle? I believe that light is triggered with vacuum if I remember correctly.

No sir. Axle is from a TJ and is CAD-less.

Then I don’t think you’ll be able to get that light to work like factory unless I’m mistaken on how the light is triggered. You could do a switch like a brake light switch to trigger the light off of the transfer case linkage though

The 242 case never had a vacuum switch on the transfer case, it also never had a CAD front axle. It is a standard electrical switch with 2 wires, black/red used only by the 242 for the full time light. The other is grey/yellow switching to yellow/black after a connector that is used for the part time light. The ground for the lights is through the body of the transfer case an added a ground strap to the transfer case would not be a bad idea. These pics are from the '87 Comanche electrical schematics and parts diagram part 24 on the diagram.
