CC On The Red Cross Blood Donor App

I've been a blood donor all my adult life, but have only been using the Red Cross Blood Donor app for a few years now.  I recently discovered that there are "teams" that you can belong to.  They had one for Jeepers in general.  I set one up for CC, so that we have our own, should anyone like to join in.  Before doing so, I searched the site.  It didn't look like this had been discussed here before.

Apparently it serves at least two purposes.  Bragging rights being one, as teams are ranked.  Another would be that it's just another way to encourage more folks to donate blood more often.  I don't think any of the bigger, more established teams are going to be shaking in their boots due to our presence.  But I figured that if any CC members are blood donors anyway, that they might prefer to have the Comanche Club team get credit when they donate.

I give too, but we donate to Bloodworks NW, maybe I can still join the club and earn points, I'm up to 3 gal so far woot!

It's worth checking into.  I've donated to other groups besides the Red Cross myself, but that was decades ago.  Long before smart phones and apps.  So I can't really speak to that.
