Storm chasing

in your opinion what jeep would be best for storm chasing? I was thinking about making a replica of jo's jeep from twister for chasing but not sure if I'll go that route yet. I have been chasing for a while now and planning on making a full twister themed convoy for certain times of the year (like the twister event in Oklahoma) and I plan on making jo's 1982 jeep j10 from twister as well as bills dodge, and Tyler's truck. any way someone would be able to send me a list of things they'd recommend for the vehicles to be as close as possible (will accept non chaser answers as well as chaser answers)

What do you need the vehicle to do? Performance, space, etc..

 

If money is no object, I’d get a Wrangler 392, Ram TRX, or a Raptor R. Off road capable, yet fast enough to get you out of harms way should the storm turn on you. 
 

If you want to build a Jeep, I’d look at an SJ Cherokee Chief and then add a set of 1 ton axles, a 4 link at least in the front, and an LS engine.
