4wd swap question

I have a 1988 jeep Comanche 4.0 2wd 5 spd manual. I found a good 1991 jeep xj 4x4 with an automatic transmission. Am I able to use the transmission and transfer case out of the 1991? Or will the wring be all different considering it’s a high output vs Renix? Thank you

I know for sure the TCU is different between HO and Renix. I think a manual to auto swap also requires a wiring harness swap, or at least adding the auto trans harness.
