ddlanes21 Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 So I did the open system cooling conversion on my 88 a while back and am needing to hook up the auxiliary fan. Ive read through the forums a bit but haven't exactly seen a good guide. I have a HO thermostat and would like to put a temp switch in it but I don't have any idea of what temp switch to buy or even how to wire up a manual switch. If I could get direction to another post or any of yalls help would be great
ghetdjc320 Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 There are simple thermostatic switches that will work for you. Painless wiring has some nice little kits. You’ll need to determine where to place the switch. You will also need a power relay capable of whatever amperage your fan is going to pull (normally 30a is good but some require higher power).
