Mikey1989
If I am reading this correctly, pg 61 of the '88 electrical manual shows an illumination circuit for the heater controls. Sure would be nice if my '89 had a light on the heater controls. But I'll be darned if I can see where a bulb would even go. Maybe this was only in trims that had the A/C - mine has no A/C. eaglescout526
All Jeeps have it. The lamp is twisted into place on the right side behind the panel. Careful, the socket is fragile. It should be a small “74” bulb I think. Same bulb that goes into the info center on the cluster. I do not remember which way it comes out but I think it’s regular lefty loosey
Mikey1989 Posted yesterday at 01:54 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 01:54 PM In one of those twilight zone events last night the heater panel was lit! That did not happen by accident so likley to not stay so. Must have been something I poked earlier in the day when I was working on the radio. Still have the instrument panel trim off so I'm going to take a look and see if I can figure out what happened to make it start working. The glove box light is missing presumably the same bulb. eaglescout526 Posted yesterday at 02:26 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:26 PM That’s a different bulb. Bit bigger and same bulb as the bulbs that light up the cluster gauges.
87MJTIM Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:38 PM I was having problems with my radio display light going out. The radio would play and keep memory, so I knew it was getting power. I did Cruiser's instrument panel ground upgrade and that fixed the radio display and the other lights improve a lot.
