Keats
Swapping a HO 4.0 into my 89. I swapped the entire harness inside and out, and used the HO flywheel and Crank sensor. We have fuel pressure, but no spark. New crank sensor, and coil, but no injector pulse. Engine wiring harness is good, any ideas?? There is power to the coil, but no spark between coil and distributor, but the coil is good.
BLHTAZ
What about the cam sensor/distributor pick-up? If you have power to the coil, but no spark to the distributor, it woulod seem that the coil is either bad or the pick-up plate is bad with a no pulse situation. This is by far not my strong point in mechanicing so I may be way off...but it is just what seems to make sense to me.
carnuck
Hopefully the vehicle you got the wiring from didn't have a factory alarm. You have to get it reset with the dealer's computer.
comancheon33
If it had a factory alarm it would be flashing lights and honking the horn. If yours had a security system find the light green wire with an orange tracer coming form the security module and ground it. That will make the security think the key is in the drivers door lock.
