Solution to Delete AC in 1987 MJ Renix 2.5

Trying to find a bypass pulley for an 87 Renix MJ 2.5L 4cyl is like trying to find a unicorn. 

 

Anybody know of any pulleys or know any other solutions to delete the AC?

Yes, replace the whole bracket with just the alternator only bracket. I have one....shoot I think it has a idler pulley on it as well and I know I dont have one but yet have a couple brackets.

Do I need a shorter belt for that and where can I find the alternator only bracket?

Also does anyone have a picture of an engine bay with non-AC setup?

Yes you’ll need a shorter belt.

 

Junk yard. 2.5L without AC is more common than with AC. I know I have a couple brackets but they’re missing the idler pulley. 
 

i can post a pic later but I know there’s a a few in my build thread too.

Do you know what belt length is required? Also I've been having a tough time finding the belt diagram for the 2.5 non ac. Do you know where I could find that?

Yes that’s it. 
I’ll grab the belt part number this evening for ya. Wait I have two of them actually. Both are lightly used. Probably under 500 miles if you want them.

Yea I'm definitely interested in the belts if they are for this configuration. I just ordered that pulley/bracket on eBay a few mins ago....haha only one on the internet and it was the last one.

 

I had found one for an 86 on Facebook market..... the found this one on eBay.....and after a little more research discovered the 87-90 is different.

Shoot me a PM for the belts. They are set up for that config. I used to run that set up before finding the AC parts. 
 

Yes. 84-86 are totally different animals all their own.

I think I found the correct belt on Quadratec.
