1988 Longbed 1996 XJ swap Locked HP30 / 8.8 Swap

I bought this originally to build into an offroad rig but acquired a shortbed instead.   I don't have alot of time for these projects currently but hope next year is the year to complete them.  I acquired this from a business associate that was moving out of town and didnt have the space at his new house.   Body is in great shape aside from a dent on the bed, minor floor pan rot.  I hope to daily this one day. 

 

The vehicle ran and drove ok.  Brakes were a nightmare and super scary.  Motor was down on power.  I still drove it randomly for a couple months then parked it.  Towards the end of last year I purchased a SUPER rusted out 96 xj.  Like the worst vehicle I have ever seen.  Ill find the photos of the unibody and post them and challenge anyone to show me a more rusted XJ.  The Drivers knuckle literally broke in half in the CAST loading it onto the hauler.  Dude was daily driving it.  Blows my mind. 

 

I used the entire drivetrain to get the HO motor and an updated wiring harness.
