Dandxj
I would like to clean the shoulder harness straps. I have them removed from the truck. This includes the belts and the recoil mechanism. Will it harm anything to just put everything in a bucket of soapy water to soak, then scrub as needed and rinse ? Thanks
eaglescout526
I pressure washed mine clean. But if you’re gonna do soap and water, I wouldnt want to get the mechanism exposed to the water. Id try to drag all the material out and put a screw driver in the gear mech to get it to not retract all of the fabric while it gets cleaned. Mild soap (dish soap) and a hose with a nozzle will do a pretty good job. Just be sure to rinse the fabric well so no soap is left behind. As Eagle Scout said, make sure the belt is left fully extended until dry. Hand it up in the sun, or with a fan blowing on it, will help speed the drying.
