AZ highdesert
I am converting my 2WD MJ to a 4 WD MJ and the question is about lift. I would like to run 31-10.50 15 tires. When using the XJ driveline am I going to need to install a 3 inch lift or what lift if any will I get after the converision using the stock XJ parts? 89MJComanche
Cheap 3" kits like the one from Rough Country, that just include coils AAL's, shocks, and stabilizer, will give you enough lift to clear 31" tires and these kinds of lifts are fairly friendly to MJ's because of the long rear drive line angles. I just finished install of one on my 1987 MJ. While I know that it is not the best riding lift in the world, and that I don't have any adjustability for my control arms, functions great for stuffing 31" tires under it.
