GirsMJ86
it would be easiest/best to stick with your coils. there is really no reason to go to leafs bcuz u can make coils flex/hold just as much if thats y you are mainly thinkin bout doin this. unless there is sumthin i don't know about. alex
pingpong
Is this a trick question? Obviously if you are asking us this question you have not researched it very much. Most ppl use wagoneer springs or custom leafs up front. The only real issue is steering in my opinion, and considering the overall weakness of the D30, an axle upgrade would be inorder. A d44 with flat top knuckles would be my choice. The other issue would be, maing sure the "frame" is beefed up enough at the spring mounting points. Also pinion angle might be an issue if using a LP axle. search pirate and naxja for more info
jeepmj_tj
i've done it, works great, drives good on the hwy as well. I'm using a waggy d44 with cross over steering. 2 1/2" lift yj springs SOA with an additional 2 1/2" main leaf as an addaleaf. let me know if you have any other questions. joe
