Anthi4078
Hey I’m in the process of cleaning up my new to me heater box with ac. The chunk of the box in front of the blower motor and that has the resistor in it is pretty rusted out so I’m wondering if when I take the non AC box out of my truck this summer if I can just swap this piece over or if it’s completely different. Also on a unrelated note does anyone know where you can get the temp sensor that goes into the evaporator? I forgot to pull it out first and mangled it getting the evap out and I'm afraid I might have punctured it.
eaglescout526
Not a lot swaps over only because you have to cut holes for the evap to stick out. Otherwise you might be able to get away with swapping the other blower section. As far as that thermistor goes, look up the part number and you’ll see a few aftermarket options out there. Anthi4078
Ok yeah I found that sensor. Is there any way to test it before I put it back in? Also I crawled up under the dash and the non AC box doesn’t even have a door on the bottom so I guess I’ll be cleaning this one up.
eaglescout526
Cool and to test it just make the probe really cold. Basically its a switch that turns the AC system off and on before the evap freezes over.
