Either way Jeeps from the AMC up until 96 just used a simple circuit for the indicator on the cluster. If the buckle wasn’t buckled the chime would go off until you either did so or about 10 seconds after putting the key in and into the run position. Now if you’re after the chime module it is either a black or blue box located on the left side of the fuse block closest to the e-brake lever. schardein Posted August 30, 2022 Share Posted August 30, 2022 I have the blue and black warning buzzers if you are looking. The black box will buzz when the seatbelt isn't latched, and when the door is opened with the key left in the ignition.
