Mochamanche87 Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) Anybody know what this is? I was changing/refreshing the ground and the butt crimp came out of the yellow/black wires out of the main harness and the other side is a black with yellow. 87 comanche 4x4 4.0l inline six manual (I know the relay cover is upside down) Edited August 6, 2022 by Mochamanche87 Added to it
boxyjeep Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 That is the vacuum switch for your 4WD indicator. There is a valve on the side of the transfer case, which connects back to your front axle vacuum disconnect. When you pull the level into 4WD, this switch is activated by vacuum, this lighting up the "PART-TIME" dash light. Not a great design. I've eliminated the whole vacuum disconnect system on my MJ and switched over to an electric switch on the side of the transfer case (which lights up the dash light).
