pago cruiser Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Did a search, and could not find this particular topic. Using MS EDGE, all updates. Whenever I find a thread I want to print, no matter what I use - file/print, Adobe PDF, or MS to pdf, the pages print... weird. See attached jpg of my latest MS to PDF file. I have seen this on other sites as well: like the Cherokee Forum, also attached. Their site is even worse, printing out lots of embedded html stuff. The only way I can print WYSIWYG (remember that?) is by saving the thread as an HTML file, and then always being forced to open it in a browser. Talked to our IT guy at work. "All sites are like that". Any ideas on how to print to obtain a true WYSIWEG PDF, or hard copy? Love the site. Thanks, Mitch aka pago cruiser
pago cruiser Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 Figured I would try something different. As the thread saved fine as an HTML (although it renamed to an MHTML), figured I would try an online converter, from MHTML to PDF. LOL. pago cruiser Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 Interesting. I switched to Chrome, who has the largest market share. Same thing. See attachement. Unfortunately, I am stuck using either Chrome or Edge for work related software. Bummer. Pete M Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 try telling it to print the backgrounds and see what happens.
pago cruiser Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 Pete, Thanks for the reply. That seems to make no beneficial difference. see attached. It does change the color though... Sigh.
pago cruiser Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 No problem. Thanks for trying to assist. Maybe I will have to switch to Firefox; I just hate having to transfer my bookmarks over, and re-learn a different flavor (this would be #3) of all the idiosynchracies (sp?) of a new browser. All to print a wysiwyg paper or pdf? This is progress? Sigh. Have a good evening.
Pete M Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 I use both firefox and chrome. sometimes at the same time. I don't suggest switching completely just for this issue, that's a serious pain in the butt. just bring up FF the times you need it.
