Jtslick89 Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Hey guys, Using @cruiser54 guide for TPS adjustment for automatic. On the 3 pin connector I can get a base voltage of around 4.86, but I cannot get an OUTPUT voltage? (Is that possible) 4 pin connector I can get BOTH base and OUTPUT voltage. Need help on the ENGINE side of the TPS. Any thoughts?
Jtslick89 Posted November 14, 2021 Author Posted November 14, 2021 thanks @cruiser54, i tested my '90 MJ and '87 XJ on both the engine and trans side (both are automatics) and the only reading i cannot get is the engine side of the XJ output.
cruiser54 Posted November 14, 2021 Posted November 14, 2021 You have done my Tips? At least 1 through 5?

I replaced the TPS with an OEM one today and lo and behold, the output voltage on the flat connector went to 0.82 V (17% of 4.85 my base voltage) Long story short, bad TPS
