revolver shackles

Recommended Posts

My 2 cents:

They're a gimmick, just like buggy leaves and z-boxes. Yes, they allow for more droop, but it's not really usable, is dangerous if they unload, and are causes for a more expensive driveshaft and longer than necessary shocks.

I can understand the scissor shackle idea if you go with longer leaf springs than stock:

That way, you don't need to build a new leaf mount and the droop is free.

I can also understand the revolving part:

Orbit eyes will help relieve the fatigue of twisting from your springs, allowing them to flex more freely.

But, I think they're a bit gimmicky.

You definitely will get more flex if you use them though.

Take it or leave it.

I have to agree with the revolvers being a solution to a poor preforming suspension. As pointed out.. if the rig is built with the sole purpose of them being used, and longer driveshafts, shocks and brakelines. As well as limit straps are included in the build, they can be made to work well. IMHO I don't think there is any need for them on a MJ.. Just add a longer shackle and call it good.
