Torq's 2002 Tahoe Z71 Daily

Recommended Posts

And I have dropped entirely too much money on it already...

First thing I did was fix some rear end damage. It had been rear ended with a hitch installed. Hitch was bent and that bent the bumper core support also. Luckily the Z71 color matched bumper cover was okay so I bought a junkyard bumper and hitch and put the Z71 cover on it.

New hatch struts

Pulled the front carpet, pressure washed it, and dyed it gray with that duplicolor spray stuff. It is passable for a commuter vehicle. Much better than faded and stained tan carpet.

Fixed the power mirrors by pulling the switch and polishing the contacts

Bought a new drivers seat base. Had to repair the metal frame. Installed universal seat heater pads on drivers side. Have to decide if I want to use the barely adequate wiring harness that came with the kit still.

Bought a new radio and speakers

Bought remote start kit
