Griff711
I've been holding on to my '86 for far too long. I don't have have a good space for it and it's just been sitting at my father-in-law outside of Sarasota, FL for a couple of years. Unfortunately, he passed away and now I need to let this truck go. It has a pretty straight body. There are 135k miles on the original V6. Turned over easily last time I tried it. Negatives are, it needs a new break booster, leaks a little oil and has a small hole in the floorboard. There's a wild range of listings out there. I'd love some suggestions on a fair value. Thanks! Jesse J
V6? unless I am much mistaken these trucks only came with 4 cylinders or an inline six. and something looks weird about that rear class. also someone here might be looking for a truck in florida. BeatCJ
We need more information. Auto or manual. Interior condition? Small hole in the floorboards, how is the frame? On the last pic, it looks like peeling paint just behind the tire. Is it original paint? Or is that something else and my deep zoom is fooling me. I paid $1200 for my no stunning, but rust free '87, 2wd 4.0 BA10-5 shortbed manual truck. The carpet was pulled up so I could see the floorboards. I had evidence of ownership history, I am the second person to register it. Long bed, 4x4 adds value, 2.8 liter takes away, probably more. I would say you have a $1000 truck. I bet you could find a buyer at $1500 if you can be patient.

Generally considered undesirable.

Griff711
Great feedback guys! Thank you very much! The 2.8 V6 is correct. It's a manual. Frame is solid. Never any accidents. The floorboard hole is about the size of softball. I put a floor mat over it and forgot it was there when I was driving regularly. I can't recall if the paint is original. Matches under the hood though. I've had this since 2012. I'm going to work on getting this cleaned up and ready to post this week. Is this site the best place to list, or are there other good places? Someone told me Facebook Marketplace is good. Thanks!
BeaterComanche86
@Griff711 If you want someone who will for sure take care of it and treat her right I’d post it up in our classified section first. Might take a little longer to sell here than on fakebook but it will probably go to a good home. 8 hours ago, Jesse J said: V6? unless I am much mistaken these trucks only came with 4 cylinders or an inline six. and something looks weird about that rear class. also someone here might be looking for a truck in florida. Rear glass is just an aftermarket 4 pane. Also the rear bumper, wheels, and stepsides appear to be aftermarket. Interior and floorboard shots would help determine the value a little better.
