Muncher
Hey so only my rpm gauge is working right now. I took my gauge cluster off. What should I be looking for to see what's wrong? Or something else I should be looking for to fix this problem

Muncher
Seems like maybe the battery gauge might be working but none of the other ones
eaglescout526
Maybe you have idiot light senders for your gauges, bad grounds, dirty cluster contacts, dirty sensor contacts. Could be a number of things. Have you done the cruiser ground mod for the cluster yet?

I did clean the one ground towards the drivers door under the dash that I belive is for the gauges and I cleaned the contacts going into the gauge cluster it self. Are there any fuses for the gauge cluster that might be bad ?
eaglescout526
There’s only one fuse for the cluster and it would cause the whole cluster to not work. That’s about it for fuses.

eaglescout526
It’s a normal fuse in the block marked gauges. I wouldn’t find it weird. Especially if they are 30 years old. Your battery isn’t really a sensor but more of how many volts the alt is putting out. The fuel gauge is obvious but those other two just depend on how much resistance their is from the sensor to the gauge.

Might need to replace all the sensors then

Muncher
Thinking that maybe my cluster is just bad. I checked out the speedo cable from the transfer case all the way to into the fire wall and there's no damage to it or anything. Yet it still doesn't work. So maybe I have to replace my cluster ? eaglescout526
I see it has the cruise speed sensor adaptor in place on the back. Is that all good and connected? It’s an analog speedo and not a digital just in case you were confused.

eaglescout526
It could very possibly be broke.
