1986 Comanche
Thanks eaglescout526. Is any of this rare options?
eaglescout526
The Chrysler Automatic and if it really has a engine block heater. But other than that, Chrysler lost alot of AMC data so we usually say take the list with a grain of salt as most prior to 88 are incomplete and missing info, like notice how there are no paint codes listed? Youll have to indulge us deeper into your truck and we can help identify rare options. Other than that, welcome to the club! Everyone is gonna bug ya about pics and a build thread. 1986 Comanche
It no longer has the 2.8 v6 so i can’t fill you in much on that. I put an ax15 in it recently and replaced the ba10-5 that was in it. My NY title says green, but I recently sanded down 4 layers of paint before I got to clean metal. It was spray paint white, a beautiful orange, forest green then a dark red under that. Now it’s primered gray and done right
eaglescout526
Looks good. On your VIN plate thats probably on the radiator support(86 thing) there should be a simple two to three letter(or number) code that should be stamped on it. Like for 86 3B is Sebring red. Later years would be like BE which is Colorado Red and PX(or X8, it gets confusing in the Chrysler years) would be Classic Black Something like that. fiatslug87
It's a base model, in '86 called Custom, column shift auto, part time 4WD. And from the codes you posted, the original color was Garnet Metallic (3C).
