Muncher
So my driver side door won't lock or unlock from outside but wkll lock inside. But even still the button is super hard to press down and then you have to grab the cable through the door to actually unlock it. What needs to be replaced? eaglescout526
Take out the entire latch mechanism and see if its just seized for that portion of the latch system. My T-bird had the same issue except it was the door button where pushing the button would open the door but not re-latch due to that part of the mechanism being almost seized. Is the latch bolted or will I have to drill it out
eaglescout526
Latch is held in my three T-50? screws. Then you have to unclip all the rods but you might want to get some more clips if yours are likely to crack and fail once you try to unclip them.
