Aidan
Ive been looking around on the forum and I know these questions have been asked already but I want to be 100% sure before I go dumping the wrong gear oils in. The BA10/5 takes 75w90 gl5? And a Dana 35 would take the same? Sent from my moto e5 play using Tapatalk
Aidan
Just wondering if I bought this it would be fine in a Dana 35 https://www.amazon.com/Red-Line-57905-75W90-GL-5/dp/B000J3ASP0?th=1&psc=1Sent from my moto e5 play using Tapatalk
Pete M
I think the 35 calls for 80/90?
Aidan
I did a couple searches and apparently you can use 75, 80 or even 140. Would using the redline I linked with GL-5 be harmful to the gears?Sent from my moto e5 play using Tapatalk
Pete M
gl5 is never harmful to gears or bearings. it's harmful to brass and bronze (used in the AX-15).

AZJeff
For rear (and front) axles, Jeep has always said that 80w90 is the "normal" lubricant, and if towing (or other severe use conditions), 75w140 is recommended. Here in AZ, where temperatures can get danged hot, I use 75w140 all the time in both my front and rear diffs.
