stviper007 Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I've recently had an infestation of mice behind my dashboard (they've since been killed inhumanely) and they chewed up what I believe is the colorful vacuum harness that connects to my heater controls. Has anyone had experience fixing or replacing the harness? I've scoured the internet to find anything with no success. I have a 91 with no air conditioning. I know I'll be pulling the dash to see what other damage they've done. Thanks.
jdog Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 you can connect them with rubber lines, they aren't anything special, just make sure to match up the colors. also pull the dash, bet they've eaten their fair share of the wiring harness as well
AZJeff Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 Make sure you get tubing that fits tightly over the hard tubing. Lots of the stuff used for vacuum lines at the auto parts store have an ID that is too big. I found this out when replumbing the vacuum on my 1991 F-150 truck.
stviper007 Posted April 3, 2020 Author Posted April 3, 2020 I'll look for something that's a snug fit I can bring the harness with me since its 2 pieces now. Thanks for the help!
