Ωhm
Has anyone bisected a RENIX charcoal canister? Purpose of question is dual; 1.Is charcoal canister vented between fuel tank, charcoal, and fresh air? 2.Is charcoal canister vented between air box, charcoal, and fresh air? Both using the same vent.
eaglescout526
I took mine out recently. I had a pic of the bottom removed and it looked like some sort of cloth/fiber like material. That was as far as I could take it apart. I think the vacuum from the engine pulls in the vapors from the tank to help ensure no fume is wasted and the cannister helps sort out the water from the fuel mixture if there is any water vapors in the tank. Ωhm
If fuel tank cap is non-vented then air box would put negative pressure (vacuum) on the fuel tank, no vapor flow.
