CDALE
Hey Peeps, I have acquired an 88 MJ and trying to piece the front end together. Ive sourced some things and have a radiator that came from an automatic and has the trans cooling lines coming from the radiator. I'm looking for a locking nut to mount the trans cooling unit to the radiator. Right now it is loose and radiator isnt holding fluid (def not a good thing lol)...basically looking for a locking nut of sort to seal my radiator. ive cut the trans cooling line
Strokermjcomanche
So you have a manual truck? If so , Flush it out with brake cleaner and nothing should come out of the trans cooler .
CDALE
I do have a manual, the problem is on the radiator there is a nut that hold the unit inside of the radiator still. I am missing those nuts so the radiator is pouring fluid.
Warren Mohler
on a lot of aftermarket rads. that nut is a sheet metal type, should be able to find at JY. still may leak if antifreeze if whats leaking do to build up of debris inside tank. give it a try. replacement rads. are fairly cheep and easy to install
