dante2
The Mule is 30 years old and is really showing his age. The bumpers are faded and more gray than black. Any suggestions on the best paint to use on them? Something that will last for another 30 years would be nice. Thanks in advance.
eaglescout526
Probably powder coating will be your best bet if you want it to last for another 30. Cheap end would be a good spray paint and clear but that will last maybe a few years max.
dante2
That's kind of the way I was leaning with the powder coat too. Got the Dirtworx bumpers for the YJ powder coated about 3 years ago, still look new.
Andy in Pa
My rule of thumb with powder coating is what is it going to be used for? If its a hard core wheeling rig, then use spray paint because its GOING to get scratched. If its a lighter trails rig, driver, or commuter rig, then powder coat.
