Mattkh
Hey all. I’m in the process of installing a Cab Fab Alpha Series 3 link on my mj but ran into a small issue. Right by where the crossmember bolts in there is a bracket on each side that is getting in the way of the upper control arm mounts for the 3 link kit. My question is can I just remove these all together? They have 6 bolts on each bracket and doesn’t really look like it’s doing much. Sorry if this is a commonly asked question, searching it didn’t pull much information for me.
Gjeep
That brackets not needed. I removed it from both my trucks when I installed a beefier crossmember.

thecodemonk
Yup...I ran into the same thing when installing IRO's 3 link in my build thread. I just removed the bracket. That said, the fuel lines will have to kindof be moved around a bit too, to get around the new bracket going in. I had to remove one of the plastic mounts from the unibody/frame forward of the point shown in the picture so they'd get around the new bracket, but it worked fine and doesn't rub anything. :) You can see how it routes in the pictures in this post specifically:

That was actually going to be my next question. Nice looking MJ by the way
thecodemonk
No sweat! Pictures really answer a ton of questions better than text can. :)
