500 MJ
1986 Jeep Comanche 2.5L / ? / ? / D30 / D35 / LWB Build date: ? Current location: Fredonia, WI Status: JUNKYARD Notes: Had a plow on it at one point. Red paint, Burgundy interior, black vinyl bench (great shape). 58K on the clock, was joyridden for one of its last rides. Rear bumper still there but it is mangled. Tailgate there. I cut the rockers and cab corners off of it a few years ago because they were in in really good shape. Engine, trans and tcase removed from it. No accidents that I can see, in the classics side of the yard so it should be there awhile... nice FULL cluster in it too. Might go back and get the cluster and bench someday... eaglescout526
Theres plenty of parts there that need to be saved. Like the front grill pieces and that license plate bracket.

500 MJ
Yep, this one is in the classics part of the yard so it won’t be moving anywhere anytime soon. It has been there for over 4 years now and I think I’m the only one who has done anything to it for the last few years. If I get the chance to nab those items next time I’m there I will. Funny thing, it is 4 days older than me. My bday is 9-8-85!
eaglescout526
Any chance the bumper can be saved?

Rust wise it is better than most around the area. But it is mangled up pretty badly. Both ends have been backed into and are bent up badly. I’ve thought about getting it to use parts for mine. The “tube” center section in mine where the ball hitches can bolt to has begun to rot from the inside out. The shell on mine is still straight. This one still has a decent center section, worth grafting into my bumper at least. Again, it’s been there for a long time and I don’t see it moving anytime soon. When the time comes that I do the resto on my ‘90 I’ll decide how to move forward on the rear bumper repair.
Deleted
that bench seat looks very clean. If I wasnt separated by nearly the entire U.S. I would come pick it up lol

500 MJ
Visited this truck again yesterday. Removed the seat from it this time for use in my Dad's/Brother's truck. FYI - Maroon seat belts are all free now and just laying in the truck, center belt was cut before I got there so it is no good. Tailgate was taken by someone else, no longer there.
