KeppyMJ Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Fuel pump wiring was messed up by previous owner so I hot wired from 87 on the fuel pump relay and the pump works great but only starts for about 3 seconds. Did I skip over something and the ECM is freaking out? 1988 4.0
Ωhm Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 You removed the fuel pump relay, hot wired pin 87, started engine, engine dies. Was the fuel pump still running after the engine died?
KeppyMJ Posted July 8, 2019 Author Posted July 8, 2019 Didn't remove fuel pump relay just tapped into wire 87 for the fuel pump and not sure on if fuel pump is still running after it dies I will see. Thanks for the quick response!
