Howdy y'all! Sorry this is so long but lots of good stuff! A while back I had posted about a recent change of work and just wanted to share some pics with you guys as I've been thoroughly enjoying the last 4ish months with this opportunity! It's been tough going some times but most the time its been a blast! I had no idea what exactly to expect when I put my notice in at the landscape supply yard I had previously worked at for 3 years but I'm beyond grateful that I decided to take the opportunity!! I've learned a great deal and only going to learn more and more! I had no idea what I was getting myself into like no benefits or anything like that but I benefit in the knowledge I'm gaining every day! I started out doing the usual grunt work but was quickly getting thrown onto machines I never thought I'd get to run. It was intimidating at first as my boss would routinely say "you ever ran this before?" ...no never... "Well hop in and get to it" ...uhhh whatever you say boss... but the best way to learn is to do and I'm grateful he has enough faith in me to do so. While some days I'm running equipmment, other days I get to work on it too! best part is I get to work in some out of the way places that I had never been too even though it's all been relatively local. It's awesome learning skills I can utilize when I start breaking ground on my property in Oregon! I've learned how to install septic systems, grade house pads, driveways, and we are currently digging a reservoir! All of which I would've had to pay someone else to do and its always nice saving money! Just wanted to share with y'all how its been going as well as some pics of some of the equipment I get to play on with some pics of the truck squeezed in the frame as well lol if you've made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read and please enjoy a nice photo dump! thanks all! 8cd811b44566fb445caecab591583bca.jpgd1b7a62ccc3e340234af61814c6bcec0.jpgf40e9cf62f57098565d9b43387a8f078.jpgcfe6b5446442f475e39471d35ea7e7f7.jpg83b48bdf1db918edd76a815e3dfde304.jpg1eb12381376db4dcd8ba60178f8a662e.jpg2b9cde62b5742c23f884bcb64da913e6.jpg4306489acfc8ba53f364cda420f9cd11.jpg5b60f74170e5cb06300ebe178bd3e86c.jpg

you get to play with the big toys!
I've ran everything but the scrapers so far but I've wrenched on them here and there! My favorite has got to be the 330 excavator at least so far lol and it was probably the easiest to pick up aside from the haul truck and skiploaders lol but its a blast! I also got my fire safety cert to run dozers on fires come season! A while back I had the idea to be an operator for CALFIRE and now I get to work WITH CALFIRE! 2fb42f7f962639f9fb9b8266f03e4dfd.jpg
