Trouble with blinkers

I have a 89 and when I turn on the blinker it doesn’t blink the light just stays solid. The bulb and the blinker work but do not blink. However when I turn on my headlights they do not turn on at all and I also have both indicators in the dash lit up.

I had a similar problem.The issue was different bulbs made by different manufacturers. When I replaced all the turn signal bulbs made from the same company, the problem was resolved.

I had some sylvania and some Chinese made bulbs. So replacement with the same company made bulbs made all the difference
