I did a long 1 day trip to Viper Kentucky yesterday stopping at a couple yards along the way. 1 yard I stopped at was Bessler's, not the cheapest by far. I knew it had possible some random things I needed and maybe a thing or 2 for the other member I was 2 meet. Anyhow, I constantly try to improve my faith in humanity by focusing on myself when the opportunity arises now instead of looking down on others that don't. I seen there was a mentally challenged middle aged guy about my age or older with an old man struggling with a large pickup truck door coming into the line several people behind me has I just finished myself and doing the same fumbling my score to leave after paying. While I was fitting my stuff in I seen them come out and overheard at least 3 people all offer to drive it for them in their truck for a fee since they were trying to figure out how to get it in their car. This was appalling since these guys were going not 2 miles down the road and the people coming out not only did not help but almost everyone offered to for a fee. I loaded up and offered my help. I was sickened to see the Vietnam Veteran hat with the medals this man was wearing the moment I approached realizing it was Veterans day the following and this is how these scum bags were treating these guys.:soapbox: I graciously thanked the man for his sacrifices for my privelages to live free. We ended up putting the door on the roof and I gave them some of my wratchet straps, secured it for them, but they said they had help at the unload not to worry and thanks. So on to Roper's.

So that's a long wheelbase mj bedside, Dakota fuel tank, tools and other random stuff in my wife's Lexus. I bet I was the first to do this in a Lexus from the looks I was getting on the road:dunce: I made it to Roper's once again and I took pics of his progress and his killer shop that his Grandfather built on a small piece of Heaven.

He needs encouragement from other members and some help. I think he has made a ton since I have been there last.

Hopefully the bedside I gave him that I scored at Bessler's gets him motivated. Its the only good 1 I ever found without buying a bed. Its rare to find either here in the rustbelt. His story of his black snake that lives in the barn is no joke and hilarious but scary at the same time after seeing the sheds.

The best part is just seeing allvthe cool old tools and such in the barn that reminds me of my youth from back home.

Yes thats a coal stove and large chunks of coal. If you ever get out his way, you should look him up. He is definitely a hospitable guy surrounded by heavenly hills and hollars that make it tough to leave especially with the serene winding crick right there in the backround. Brandon you missed out, hopefully you come next time, I think Roper could use a little lesson in the basics of welding from you to continue since he is a little intimidated from never attempting it before.
