92 brake pedald bushing

Recommended Posts

So I recently replaced a brake light switch that was zip tied in place. I thought it was from a worn out adjustment sleeve on the switch, but it was not.

Apparently the PO head zip tied it all the way up tight because the brake pedal has some wiggle in it. I didn't notice it before, but..... It looks like the master cylinder plunger has a small gap around the stud on the pedal.

I've got no idea if there's a bushing that should be there. It looks to be bare steel.

According to the parts manual, only the exports had a bushing on the brake pedal MC push rod stud; domestics did not. No idea why. P/n J3215928. I suppose it wouldn't be all that hard to fab one up if it's that sloppy.....
