My blower motor resistor went bad a while ago and the blower motor had bad bearings in it so I finally got around to replacing them today. While my replacement blower motor has the hole for the vent tube that feeds air back in to the motor housing to help keep it cool, it's sitting at about 3 o'clock when it needs to be at 6 o'clock for the tube to go in to the hole where it collects the air. So the question is, how critical is it to have this setup? I.E. I'm tempted to just cover the hole with electrical tape instead of trying to fabbing up an extended tube of some sort. Thoughts? :dunno:
