Jacob Ochs
I’m looking into super or turbocharging my Jeep but I had a few questions. I have experience with megasquirt from a previous ending build and I don’t think I’ll ever go through that head ache again! I did see this however, it looks like a plug and play tuner for Cherokees! It says it only works with 97-01 Cherokees? What is the difference between the 96 and 97? Would I still be able to run this? https://splitsec.com/product/ftc1-201-fueltiming-calibrator-jtec-jeep-p-n-p/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HOrnbrod
1996 was the change year from OBD1 to OBD2, but the 96 models still retained some of the OBD1 sensors, like the MAP sensor for example. The 97 models were full OBD2.
mnkyboy
You could talk to Ryan Hogan at Flyin Ryan Performance, he can tune the 96 up ECMs for boost. http://www.frptuning.com
