kook911
Took the t case off to do a rebuild. Didn’t think about taking pics on how the linkage was attach to the Jeep and t case. Got the t case back installed and now can’t get the shifter to shift out of 2hi. I have shifted the gears on the t case by hand. I don’t know if my linkage is messed up and I think the first pic is 2hi and the second pic is 4lo. So I know I’m doing something wrong, just don’t know what. Any help. 87MJTIM
I think that the bracket needs to point down, not up. The factory configuration has it down. The pictures of the aftermarket shifters have the bracket pointing up.
90BlackMJ
X2. You have it upside down. When in correct orientation 2 hi will be straight up and down (mostly)
kook911
Thanks all. That was the problem. I installed it backwards or upside down. It is now correctly installed.
