Alright I'm puzzled. 96 Xj 4.0. Replaced the power steering pressure hose and now the Jeep has no power steering at all... Hose was replaced due to a leak at the crimp. Everything worked perfectly fine before the swap. I checked the hose for plugs and such and it flows freely. Res. Is full.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't jack it up. Just go stop to stop for 20 times or so, eyeball the reservoir and add fluid if necessary, repeat, until it stops bubbling.

There are instructions out there to turn the wheels with the engine off and others with it running.

Last gear swap I did both until the steering started to feel normal.

If there is a lot of trapped air the fluid can foam with the pump running. At least that's one of the theories.

If it's still not working maybe the pressure side is blocked off some how
