ComancheKid45 Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Alright I'm puzzled. 96 Xj 4.0. Replaced the power steering pressure hose and now the Jeep has no power steering at all... Hose was replaced due to a leak at the crimp. Everything worked perfectly fine before the swap. I checked the hose for plugs and such and it flows freely. Res. Is full. Green Mesa XJ Posted April 23, 2017 Share Posted April 23, 2017 There are instructions out there to turn the wheels with the engine off and others with it running. Last gear swap I did both until the steering started to feel normal. If there is a lot of trapped air the fluid can foam with the pump running. At least that's one of the theories.
