Kenny D Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 Installing an 87 tank that has a pump for 4.0 into my 86 that has a 2.5. Will the 4.0 pump work with the 2.5? If not what is needed to make it work?
Jeep Driver Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 The pump in the 87 should be good for 40psi regulated pressure, your 2.5 should be regulated at 15psi. I would install a 2.5 pump.
