2.5 Stalling Issue

Just picked up a 1987 2.5l 5 speed for my cummins project down the road. But would like to get this motor running well for the time being before it's pulled. Ive never owned a 2.5l so this is a new experience for me. I fire it up and it'll stall right away unless I feather/tap the throttle for sometime (holding down the throttle will cause it to stall after a few seconds) then it'll run no problem for a few minutes then start to bogg down and I'll have to feather/tap it again to get it back to idle. The previous owner just installed a new fuel pump, filter, plugs, wires, and cap. I was thinking maybe something to do with the egr? Any help would be appreciated

Good troubleshooting article for 2.5 TBI HERE.

I'd start with a fuel pressure test with engine running.

Lots of fuel pressure, just actually disconnected the vacuum line running to the MAP sensor and shes not stalling anymore. I was getting the right voltage from the MAP sensor when i tested it, but could it still be bad?

That's weird usually when the vacuum line to the map sensor would make the truck run really bad...

Can you take pictures of the vacuum line set up?

Might be in the wrong place?

Also double check if your cps wiring isn't touching the exhaust manifold....

Seems to be in the right spot, and the cps is not touching
