HOrnbrod
Looks like a good deal to me. https://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/5989557678.html If I were in the market I'd go take a look.
Minuit
That's an absolute steal so long as it still has floors and a fusebox. If those check out, that's one of the best deals I've seen on here in a while. I'm usually really harsh on Craigslist ads but I can't find anything to b*@$£ about on this one. Kerry
It's interesting how different people's perception of condition can be. I know often things are described as better than actual intentionally to help it sale but in this case it appears the seller truly believes it to be in only fair condition. Sometimes location can play a role, a body in fair condition to us in the South is very good to others in the rust areas up North and fair interior and/or plastic parts to them are very good compared to our sun fried stuff. Lots of good pictures are a great help to both buyers and honest sellers.
HOrnbrod
I talked to him and he said the drivers side floor was toast. Said he's had it for three years but doesn't know it's original history. And the paint is original. It's pretty close - I may slide up there and eyeball it. Minuit
If the D/S floor is significantly more rusty than the P/S floor I would anticipate the fusebox to be a goner as well, whether the electronics are flaking out yet or not. Those two problems frequently go together - telltale sign of clutch fluid leakage. My 89's driver side floor is about 60% gone, the passenger side isn't bad by MJ standards, the fusebox was completely trashed, and there's a clear trail of rust leading directly from the clutch MC. I'd be extremely leery of any non-project manual MJ for that reason.
