Choppedmanche Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 So I swapped an ax15 into my 88 comanche. Anyways I'm having some issues. Hope someone on here can tell me what's going on. At first when I start it up I can drive it and shifts fine. Once it's been sitting idling for approx 20 mins, when I try to drive it for the life of me I cannot get it into any gear. I have to turn it off put it in gear then start back up to be able to move it.
87MJTIM Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Congrats on the swap. Does the AX15 have an internal or external slave? From the symptoms you describe, it sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging. If you have an internal slave, I would think that there is a leak, most likely at the slave cyl. Did you change the clutch kit from the stock BA10 clutch to an AX15 clutch? This will depend on whether the AX15 is internal or external. The external AX15 has a different part number for the pressure plate than an internal AX15. (Part number comparison on Rockauto.)
Choppedmanche Posted February 11, 2017 Author Posted February 11, 2017 I ended up changing the fluids. And bleeding the clutch more seems to good
