Clutch making noises

So I swapped in yet another ax15 a few weeks ago. It was a reman. Working great, but I'm having clutch issues. The clutch isn't engaging all the way. Most of the time it's fine, then randomly some days it makes a weird noise and doesn't fully engage and disengage. Everything is brand new, torqued down to spec, and red-loctited. What could this be? Really annoying.

is it the internal slave?  I have had internal slaves go out very soon after a clutch job my self, when the surface of the flywheel was getting to thin. However I have not had the issue that is would not fully engage.

It is an external slave and is only about 8 months old but maybe its bad?
