The seals are on either side of the carrier bearings inside the pumpkin.

Thats why I said I hope this is not what you did...

Its not the end of the world... I mean the gears will NOT need to be reset up or anything but its not a ten minute job either. Kind of a pain in the arse!!

ok so a little confusion...when i removed the passenger axle shaft i got the piece from the disco to the hub nut how could i f up anything in the pumpkin?

the driver side axle shaft was removed from the pumpkin, but the driver side no leak.

if the seal on the pass. side is bad would the disco actuator housing fill with the leaking fluid?if so how much fluid is to much fluid to be just the disco?

should the pass. side shaft have some seal that mine didnt?

Missed the pass side part... (Sorry for the confusion) In a disco axle, the CAD fills from the diff. IE splash or gravty.

In a disco axle, the pass side seal is outbound of the CAD. IIRC. You must have damaged that when you removed/installed the axle. If you remove the CAD you should be able to see the seal on the outboard side.
