Keyav8r
I'm 75% sure my AC leak in my 91 MJ is at the evaporator (will be 100% sure before I proceed with the next drastic step). And, if I have to replace the evaporator I'll replace the heater coil while I've got things apart. My question Is whether it is possible to replace the evaporator and heater coils without completely removing the dash. Would there be enough room to change both coils by just hinging the dash back without disconnecting all the wiring and HVAC controls? Or, does it require more room to take the box apart? If I have to pull the dash I will (did it on my old 88), but would like to avoid it if possible.
victorgallas
Doubt you can do it without pulling the dash out but they are easy to pull out, just take the screws, disconnect some plugs and off you go. Way easier to have it out of the way.
Keyav8r
Pretty much what I thought, but just hoping someone had a trick up their sleeve.
